Aloha from our staff.
Home is more than a roof and a bed. At Korean Care Home, we work every day to create an environment where residents feel engaged, nourished, and genuinely at ease — surrounded by familiar culture, people who know their names, and a community that feels like family.
Our Grounds
Set on a quiet residential street in Liliha, the property is a true Hawaiian home — shaded by mature mango trees, bright with bougainvillea and croton, and laid out so residents always have a comfortable spot to sit outdoors.

The front entrance displays our bilingual Korean Care Home / 한국 양로원 sign, and a wheelchair-accessible ramp leads directly to the main door. Throughout the day, residents enjoy the shaded outdoor seating areas, garden walkways, and the cool breeze under the mango trees that have stood here since the building was constructed in 1955.
Inside the Home
Our interior spaces are bright, clean, and comfortably furnished to feel like a real home — not a clinical facility.

Resident rooms are equipped with adjustable care beds. Common areas include a TV lounge with recliner seating, a rattan-furnished sitting room with garden views, and a dedicated wellness and activities space. Bathrooms are fitted with grab bars and roll-in shower access.
Activities
Our activity coordinator leads a full daily program. At Korean Care Home, activities aren’t an afterthought — they’re part of how we help residents live to their fullest.

Regular programming includes:
- Daily exercise and movement led by the activity coordinator
- Singing
- Crafts
- Church services
- Birthday parties
- Holiday meals and celebrations
- Excursions
- Haircuts by volunteer and professional hair dressers
- Companionship visits
Our Staff
Our caregivers are the heart of Korean Care Home. Many have been with us for years and have built lasting relationships with the residents in their care.

Staff are on-site 24 hours a day. Many are Korean-speaking, and all are trained in culturally sensitive, person-centered care for elderly residents.
Dining
Meals are home-cooked, served three times daily with snacks throughout the day. Nutritious, culturally familiar dishes — including Korean staples — connect residents to the flavors and traditions of home.
Special dietary accommodations:
- Special diets provided as ordered by the resident’s physician
- Diabetic-friendly meal options
- Texture-modified meals for swallowing difficulties
